About The Author

With over two decades spent in the building materials industry on the supply side, Andy has spent his career providing guidance to companies on finding the right products for their projects. Not just sourcing goods, but delivering solutions that pay back over time and make the final result more successful.

Over his career, he’s learned from some of the best teachers in the industry – his customers. With their trust and partnership, he has been able to specify, recommend and source over one hundred million dollars worth of product into over one-hundred thousand units across twenty-two states, Mexico, Canada, and Puerto Rico in the last decade.

Andy has specified product on projects from mixed use high rise renovations to thirty-four thousand square-foot single family homes, worked on green-up sustainability and accessibility programs for multifamily properties, and collaborated with architects and designers to add curb appeal to units without breaking budgets.

His focus is on learning from his clients on what works for them, why they do it, and how they make it happen, and then finding out where their opportunities to improve are. Collaborating with hundreds of successful firms taught him to find what works and share it to help others succeed who have had the same or similar issues and fixed them.

“I love helping firms cut costs while delivering a better environment for their customers. Typically the result is a more accessible, sustainable and healthy space than what might have been there before.

How many people get to say ‘I’ve impacted the lives of thousands of families by helping to make their homes better’?”

Andy is the Founding Principal of ARM Procurement Advisors LLC, where he helps real estate developers, investors and property managers make a better return on their investment while creating more accessible, healthy living spaces – reducing environmental impact and improving tenant quality of life.

He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Upstate Building Industry Alliance, is active with the Rochester Home Builders Association and Freedom First Real Estate Investors Association, and is regarded as an expert in building materials, products and processes used in real estate development, construction and renovation as well as property management operations.

Andy has earned and maintains certifications from the National Association of Home Builders as a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist, a Certified Green Professional and a Certified Graduate Associate, using the knowledge he gained from those programs to help his clients deliver a better product to their customers.
